Clinics

Contraceptive Advice

The practice offers a range of contraceptive services including the pill, contraception implant, coil fitting and injections. Emergency contraceptive advice can be given at routine or emergency appointments

Antenatal Care

This is normally undertaken by the Community Midwife during normal consulting hours. Please remember the 6 week postnatal check, again by normal appointment with your GP

Minor Injury Clinic

A minor illness clinic is run each day for patients who do not require to be seen by a doctor for example sore throats, earache, cough, skin rash. If necessary, appropriate patients will be referred to a GP. All appointments will be made following triage with the nurse on the same day and are not pre-bookable.

Minor Surgery

Minor surgery procedures can be arranged by special appointment through your own doctor. We can excise small cysts, moles and other skin lesions and offer joint injections, after an initial assessment

Well Person Checks

These are carried out in the nurses’ rooms and appointments can be made without seeing a doctor. The aim is to promote better health and screen for certain conditions. For women due cervical screening an invitation will be sent out for a smear test. All female patients may self refer, however, by simply making an appointment through reception. The results of smear tests are sent out within 4 weeks by letter

Dermatology Nurse

We have a Dermatology Nurse at the Practice twice a month. You can be referred to these appointments after initial assessment with your GP

Other specialist clinics…
